Notes for Archie Claude RAITT
Archie was born on the farm his father homesteaded in l893. He
was the first child in a family of seven children. His mother
passed away when he was only ten years of age. All of his
brothers and sisters went to live with aunts and uncles except
Archie who remained with his father. Archie remained on the
homestead to farm as an adult due to his limited vision. He
remained on the farm until 1980 when he was forced to leave
because of failing vision.
