| Notes for (Richard) Ellis ANDREWS | ||||||||||||
| Shortly after his father died Ellis Andrews sold his property in Barnesville Ohio, packed up his family, and moved to Centerpoint Iowa by oxen pulled wagon. The move was during the summer of 1857, and many family heirlooms were sold along the way to pay for necessities such as flour and diapers. Ellis died young in 1862, reportedly of appencitis, and Anne Elizabeth remarried three years later. (Oral history from Myrtle Rose Andrews Hurley, 1968 - DGA) | ||||||||||||
